Moira
Moira is a 71 year-old lady from Stirling. She lives with her 32 year-old son, but he suffers from schizophrenia and she is his main carer. He has been hospitalised in the past due to his illness but his condition is currently stable. Moira herself has suffered from severe depression for many years.
This loving mother struggles financially and emotionally and is constantly worried about how she will cope. Her son contributes towards the bills but she feels unable to ask him for money as she is worried how he will react and she is embarrassed to approach her youngest son for any more help as she is still trying to pay back what she has already borrowed.
ScotsCare is now providing Moira with a monthly allowance, and hopefully have relieved some of her worries.
